This is Inukshuk, a polar bear cub rescued from hunters by police after his mother was killed by hunter near Fort Severn. He now finds his temporary home in the Toronto Zoo. I first visited Inukshuk in May 2003 right after he is put on display.
It’s lunch time, Inukshuk is getting ready. He get some fishes placed in various places, some was placed right in a groove in a tree branch.
This is taken in July 2003, 2 months later. He’s growing pretty fast. Much bigger than before now.
The adult polar bear was swimming in the pool when I was there so I took a few shot as well. The glass window is really murky and so the quality of the shot is not that great.
Ths one likes to swim close to the glass and check out the audiences out side the pool.
