I sure do have a lot of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱) figures. Here’s yet another set. This one is the Extravaganza Version or better in Japanese as the 涼宮ハルヒの激奏Ver.
Suzumiya Haruhi Extravaganza Ver. 1/8 PVC by Max Factory (マックスファクトリー 涼宮ハルヒ 激奏Ver.). Original sculptor Kuroda Masanori (黒田真徳). Released on April 2009 with an MSRP of ¥7,800.
From left and right angles.
Back and the side
A close-up. Love that energy emitting from Haruhi in this figure.
The guitar string is not painted on. It’s actually real guitar strings. And the Gibson is also very well detailed.
Even got the picks in the hand.
To the left is a close up of that translucent skirt. The translucent plastic really gives the skirt a bit of fabric feeling. The the right, a good amount of detailed painting on the socks and the stockings.
A shot from under the “stage”.
Another one in front of her.
Asahina Mikuru Extravaganza Ver. 1/8 PVC by Max Factory (マックスファクトリー 朝比奈みくる 激奏Ver.). Original sculptor Kuroda Masanori (黒田真徳). Released on April 2009 with an MSRP of ¥7,800.
Back and from the side.
A close-up of Mikuru. Nice frills on the skirt and the instrument is also very detailed.
Again the use of translucent plastic to bring some of that fabric feeling into the PVC figures, nice painted stockings too.
A shot from under the “stage”.
Nagato Yuki Extravaganza Ver. 1/8 PVC by Max Factory (マックスファクトリー 朝比奈みくる 激奏Ver.). Original sculptor Kuroda Masanori (黒田真徳). Released on May 2009 with an MSRP of ¥7,800.
Back and side shot.
A nice close-up.
A few shot of the details. Again the guitar is actually stringed and not just have strings painted. The foot pedal on the right has an actual wire that goes from the pedal to the guitar.
Here’s the a shot under the “stage”,
And here’s the SOS Dan trio all together.
Another shot of the three of them with Haruhi in front.
I happen to also own a wall scroll of an illustration which these three figures are based on. Here’s a shot of the three of them in front of it.
Here’s a 2D illustration from which the figure is based on. The figure did well to represent this image IMO.
Here’s the cover of Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou (涼宮ハルヒの激奏) DVD. Which is also the same illustration as my wall scroll.
Beautiful picture ! I love your shooting ^^ My favorite figure is Mikuru for her color and her clothes ^^ Max Factory realized a great work with this figures set ^^
Yep I love the clothing set too. Well I also love the clothing from Gothloli Set by Griffon. But pose, dynamics, and build quality of the extravaganza version make it much better than the Gothloli set.
