African Lions

A collection of African lion photos taken at the Metro Toronto Zoo in 2002. Photos are all taken during the month August.

Here’s the resident male of the pride.

Despite the looks, this is actually a pair of male lions. The brothers were neutered so that they can stay in the pack.

This is a rare white African lion. A gene in her make her to have a white looking fur and very attractive blue eyes. This princess surely stands out among all other lions around her.

Lions are some of the most affectionate animals. Such affection is a show of solidarity of the pride. And just shows how good the members of the pride treat each other.
